OVP – OuterLink Voice Panel
- Voice messaging component for the CP-3i SatCom Transceiver & Messaging Terminal
- Secure communications
- Messages are stored as data, and can be retrieved as needed’
- Integrated with OuterLink Console mapping & management software
The OVP provides an interface between the OuterLink CP-3i SatCom Transceiver & Messaging Terminal to provide a voice messaging system via the aircraft’s audio distribution system. With the OVP channel selected on the audio panel, the TALK button is used to send a voice message. Either the pilot’s Push-to-Talk (PTT) switch or the TALK button on the OVP may be used. As the button is pressed, the voice message is transmitted through the satellite to the user’s dispatch center. Your dispatch center can transmit voice messages by typing text into the Voice Messaging module in OuterLink Console. The text message is converted to an audio MP3 file, which is then transmitted to the cockpit via satellite, and retrieved by the pilot as a voice message - all in a matter of seconds.
