OuterLink
Corporation, a satellite-based
mobile asset management solutions
provider, today announced
that the United States Department
of Homeland Security (DHS)
has accepted delivery of 22
complete OuterLink mobile
asset management systems and
5 spare CP-3i satcom terminal
platforms. DHS will deploy
the OuterLink solution on
U.S. Customs & Border
Protection agency aircraft.
OuterLink
satellite-based mobile asset
management solutions offer
secure, real-time air, ground
and marine vehicle tracking
and two-way voice and data
communications between a Command
Center and vehicle operators.
OuterLink CommTrack™ software
enables multiple agencies
to coordinate the dispatch
of all mobile assets by providing
a centralized view of vehicles
(with OuterLink on board)
across multiple agencies.
This ability to “see” all
mobile assets increases safety,
improves response capabilities
and overall coordination across
disparate federal, state and
local agencies.
“OuterLink
offers the ideal solution
for organizations, like DHS,
which are tasked with developing
emergency readiness and response
plans that need to be coordinated
across multiple agencies and
geographies,” said Andrew
Joseph, CEO of OuterLink Corporation.
“Agencies in the US that have
responded to crises understand
the need to immediately locate
and deploy mobile assets even
when terrestrial based solutions
are not available. OuterLink
supports this requirement
with proven technology and
services and is fast becoming
the tracking and two-way communication
standard for homeland security
and emergency response.”
