Adds satellite services and logistics support for ongoing testing and evaluation

OuterLink Corporation, a satellite-based mobile asset management solutions provider, today announced an extension to a previously awarded contract by the South Carolina Army National Guard (SCARNG). The revised contract exercises an option for additional satellite services and logistics support for ongoing test and evaluation activities. Also, SCARNG opted to extend warranties on previously delivered satellite terminals.

This year, the South Carolina Army National Guard began testing the OuterLink solution’s ability to support the operational requirements for secure communications and real-time management of mobile assets across multiple agencies including the Department of Homeland Security and federal and state safety agencies. The program has, to date, successfully demonstrated the capabilities of OuterLink's mobile asset management solution to communicate with helicopter and ground vehicle fleets. This was highlighted during the June 2007 Palmetto Thunder National Guard operational exercise.

Under the original contract awarded in June 2006, OuterLink delivered its satellite-based mobile asset management solution; integrated it into existing National Guard equipment, tested the newly integrated solution and provided logistical support. This recent contract extension supports expanded and ongoing testing and evaluation moving into 2008.

“OuterLink mobile asset management solutions continue to demonstrate an ability to enable quick and effective emergency readiness and response,” said Andrew Joseph, CEO of OuterLink Corporation. “Agencies nationwide are evaluating OuterLink software as a key command and control tool that centralizes the location tracking of and communication with both civil and military vehicles. SCARNG has experienced the benefits of OuterLink and we are delighted to support them as they continue to drive OuterLink deeper into their multi-agency emergency response strategies.”
