Mobile asset tracking solutions provider purchased from Digital Angel Corporation
Newcomb Communications today announced its purchase of OuterLink Corporation from Digital Angel Corporation (AMEX: DOC). Paul F. Newcomb, President of Newcomb Communications is the founder and President of the predecessor company to OuterLink, which Digital Angel acquired in January 2004.
The agreement was finalized on July 3, 2007.
OuterLink Corporation’s mobile asset management solutions provide accurate, secure, real-time location tracking and two-way communication to strategically manage air, land and marine vehicles during routine missions and crisis readiness and response exercises. OuterLink clients experience improved safety and visibility of their mobile assets with reduced operational costs and predictable monthly fees. Since 1991, OuterLink has deployed 2000 units in government, air taxi, off-shore petroleum and aero medical aircraft and vehicles, accumulating over one million flight hours experience.
